2021 EASTERN SHORE ENVIRONMENTAL LEGISLATIVE SUMMIT

The 2021 Eastern Shore Environmental Legislative Summit was held on January 9th and 10th, 2021 online.  Nine of the most environmentally conscious legislators in the Maryland General Assembly as well as eleven of our NGO partners talked us through the best of the 2021 environmental legislation.  Copies of handouts are provided below, along with a video of the event.

On October 20, 2019, the Maryland Legislative Coalition conducted an informative and interactive forum on school funding in Maryland in Elkridge MD. featuring Dr. Brit Kirwan and Delegate Eric Luedkte.

Dr. Brit Kirwan, chair of the Commission on Innovation and Excellence in Education (the Kirwan Commission), former Chancellor Emeritus of the University System of Maryland, former President of the University of Maryland and former President of Ohio State University, and Delegate Eric Luedtke, former middle school teacher, Democratic Majority Leader in the House of Delegates and chair of the Subcommittee on Education in the Ways and Means Committe in the House, talk about the plan to transform Maryland schools and how the funding battle is shaping up followed by a Question and Answer session.
